Imua Moms · Summer edition 2026 · North Shore, Oʻahu
A surf contest built for mothers. Seventeen pioneer mamas. Three crowns. One champion, and a story for every one of them.
How it works
Heats are judged on merit. The community gets a real voice. The final is decided on the three crowns by our finalist judges. The stage we're in right now is lit up in yellow.
What every mama is scored on
Each mama submitted one edited video, up to 10 minutes, holding all three.
Her surfing: wave choice, flow and style, commitment, presence and joy. Heart over any single trick.
Her motherhood journey, told honestly in her own words. The life behind the athlete.
A testimony from someone who knows her as a mother. Who is she when nobody is watching?

Our promise to every mama
Every story is received with the same care, whether we know her or not. We have gone through motherhood ourselves. We know the sleepless nights, the guilt, and the courage it takes to paddle back out. We are looking for truth, not followers.
Mothers were never meant to do this alone. Every story shared here becomes a place where another mother can rest, recognize herself, and remember who she is. We are building the village again, and it's because of these women.
Not advancing doesn't mean a mama doesn't matter. It means her story is now being heard around the world.
Why this contest exists
When a male surfer gets injured, his time away becomes an opportunity. It's marketable. It's valued. He gets edits, funding and support, his story becomes heroic, and he is known for his comeback.
When a woman becomes a mother, her time away is ignored. Pregnancy, birth and the long road back to the lineup are devalued, and she is quietly placed outside the conversation. Motherhood is the greatest comeback in surfing. The Triple Crown exists to make the world see it.
We're building sponsorship models that pay mothers for their surfing and storytelling, the same way brands invest in an athlete's comeback.
Funding that lets mothers keep surfing and creating with their children beside them, so the next generation grows up watching their mothers lead.
We're still welcoming partners for this contest and the seasons ahead: prize support, gear, filmmaking, travel and storytelling.
Brands, surf companies, filmmakers and anyone who believes mothers belong in the lineup: we'd love to hear from you.
